MIXED MARTIAL ARTS
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is the cornerstone of our gym because it incorporates all of the martial arts that we train throughout the week. MMA is a full contact fighting sport that uses both striking and grappling elements. While MMA began as a way to pit different martial arts against each other to find the most effective fighting style, the sport has grown into a unique fighting style of its own. Now, there are countless MMA governing bodies and more stringent regulations to maintain the safety of fighters and the legitimacy of MMA. The amount of techniques and martial arts that make up MMA are endless. MMA incorporates techniques from kickboxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, TaeKwonDo, karate, etc. This is why we encourage students to stay active in all of our programs if they are looking to excel in MMA.
Mac's Gym offers premiere mixed martial arts training led by former pro fighter Coach Albandia. MMA class is on Sunday mornings. Check out our class schedule.
